Each year, U.S. News & World Report evaluates data related to quality of life, employment, home value, crime rates, cost of living, net migration, climate and education to determine the most desirable places to live across the country. The 2025–2026 rankings include three Austin-area small towns within their top 15 best small cities to live.

Cedar Park, TX has emerged in 2025 as one of America’s best cities to live, earning top national rankings for its strong quality of life, affordability, and family-friendly environment. U.S. News & World Report placed Cedar Park among the Best Small Cities in the U.S., as well as on their prestigious “Best Places to Live” list for 2025–2026. The city stands out for its excellent public schools, low crime rates, clean air, and expansive park system, offering over 1,000 acres of outdoor space.

In addition to its livability, Cedar Park benefits from a robust job market and proximity to Austin, making it attractive for both young professionals and families.
